About The Patient:
Brian is an Emergency Room Nurse in Omaha, Nebraska. He has been a nurse for ten years.
Symptoms:
Brian's symptoms developed slowly and caught everyone at his hospital by surprise. They said that when he started at the hospital he enjoyed the chance to be invloved in a lot of different areas of patient care, but the longer he was there the more they noticed that something about him was not right. Brian overreacts to and overdiagnoses his patients' symptoms. Simple ailments are reacted to with a high level of drama and urgency by Brian. Attempts to intervene by his co-workers have been unsuccesful.
Diagnosis:
Brian is suffering from the Jobsession strain of Restless Nurse Syndrome at a Level 9. Brian needs to be placed in an envrionment where he can be presented with a higher level of cases than he sees at his current hospital which does not have a trauma center. His brain is clearly compensating for a lack of stimulation by creating a more challenging hospital setting where one does not exist.
Suggested Treatment:
Brian should begin the travel nursing and Lacidem treatment immediately. This treatment should help resolve Brian's need to create a more challenging environment by placing him in hospitals that are better suited for him.
